12 Weeks Old... No Way!

What a smile!

Yep... that's right. Today is Sawyer's 12 week birthday!:) I absolutely cannot believe it. I thought it flew by the first time around, but boy was I wrong. I don't even know where the time goes these days. It seems like I just looked up and Sawyer was all of the sudden 12 weeks old. He has changed so much in these past 12 weeks. So much, so fast. It is amazing. It really doesn't seem possible that 3 months could have already gone by, but they most certainly have! He is such a sweet baby! Here are a few of his likes and dislikes for ya...

What Sawyer Likes:
- Mealtime - YES... just like his big brother, this child LOVES him some food!:) He certainly doesn't let you forget when it is time for him to eat... he enjoys every single second of it!
- Sleep - We have ourselves another great sleeper! Yay! He started sleeping through the night about a month ago, and it has been so nice. I am so glad he enjoys his sleep, because I definitely enjoy mine!:) He is even a great napper during the day. Pretty much the only time he is fussy or crying is when he needs to eat, needs a diaper change or needs to sleep! He's a Ronn for sure... loves his shut eye!!
- Cooing - OK, I looked back and I did write that Hayden liked cooing at this same age, but I know for a fact he did not like it as much as Sawyer. It is like he is talking to us. It is crazy. He will just coo and coo. I can't wait to find out what he is trying to tell us. It will put a smile on your face no matter what is going on. So cute!
- Smiling - He has such a big smile and he absolutely loves to flash it for you! Very happy baby!
- Awake time - Yes, he loves his sleep, but he loves his awake time just the same. Especially when he has one on one attention(which is very rare I might add!). He does like his awake time with or without the one on one time, but he just really loves it when he gets one of us completely to himself. Probably because it is very rare that Hayden isn't standing right over top of him! He is still sleeping most of the day, so when he does have his few hours of awake time he is usually totally happy and having the greatest time ever.
- Bath time - LOVES it. He actually starts fussing if you don't start his bath at his regular time. He likes his routine and is always ready for his bath! It is so crazy because he can be screaming at the top of his lungs and the minute his body hits that water he is better. He loves moving his little arms and legs to splash around... so cute. I love the giant smiles he gives us during bath time!
- The bouncer - He has loved this thing since the very first time we put him in it. He is just starting to get to where he can make it bounce on his own, and he really gets a kick out of that! I think he is proud of himself! It is pretty cool you know?!?
- Blowing bubbles - He loves making them and blowing them. Matt and I kid each other all the time about him already teething because of how big of a mess he makes with his "bubbles".

What Sawyer Dislikes:
- Dirty diapers - Cries as soon as he dirties it up... I mean wants it off right that second! If only this were still the case with Hayden he might be potty trained by now! I can remember him not liking a dirty diaper at Sawyer's age either, but now it is quite another story. He simply does not have time for you to change his diaper... he would much rather it be dirty than taking the time for it to be clean or never making it dirty in the first place! So, here's to hoping Sawyer always has a dislike for his dirty diapers!!!
- An idle car - Although he doesn't mind car rides(actually quite likes them!), he does not like for the car to come to a stop. This makes for quite a long car ride if you get stuck in traffic. The cry gets louder and louder and louder! Needless to say, we will do just about anything to keep the car moving!:)
- Burping - Yet another similarity between the boys... neither of them liked burping. It is a gigantic task to get him to burp, and sometimes no matter what we do there is no way to get him to burp. Maybe that means they won't be gross boys who think burping is funny when they get a little older. Let's hope!

What Sawyer is not sure about:
- His swing - The first few weeks this would have definitely been on his dislike list, but the past couple of weeks he has started liking it a bit more so I decided it should be moved to this list! He is a funny little guy about it... sometimes he refuses to sit in it at all, but other times it puts him right to sleep.
- The pacifier - OK, so it looks like Sawyer is going to take after his brother and not have anything to do with a pacifier, but I'm still not putting it on the dislike list until I'm sure he is over it. He actually loves it when you will hold it in his mouth for him, but otherwise... not so much. He just spits it right out. It is almost like it is choking him or something. He just can't figure out how to keep it in. Oh, and I have tried every type so I'm pretty sure it is just the pacifier itself and not the brand. Anyways, he may come around and decide to like it a bit more and take it without assistance, but for now I'm pretty sure he'll just stick to his fist/thumb.

On to the pictures... enjoy!

This was during his very first bath at home... he
showed signs of loving it right from the start!:)

And this was him just yesterday... so happy!

He's all smiles! Oh, and you can see some of those
bubbles I was talking about him loving to make!

Having so much fun in the bouncer...

It put him to sleep. It's quite a work out to make
yourself bounce up and down you know!:)

This was one of his first times in the bouncer. It was
putting him to sleep right from the start!

And I just had to include this pic. I told you
he gets those sleeping habits honest!:)

Knocked out!

This was right after one of his feedings and he
was totally satisfied... can't you tell?!?

Of course I had to take some pictures on his 12 week birthday!!
He was so nice to give me his super serious face
don't you think?!? HA!

And his wrinkled up eyebrow face!

I'm pretty sure he was mad at me for continuing here...

But he did go ahead and amuse me with that big smile anyways!:)

Smiling and sleeping... cute huh?!?

That swing just puts him to sleep every time!

Handsome little guy!

We feel so blessed to have such a sweet little addition to our family and look forward to watching him grow each and every day. Happy 12 weeks little Sawyer!:)

Fair Time!

The fam at the fair!!!

Yes, I realize I am a month behind on sharing our fair experience with you, but like I always say... better late than never!:) We made our annual trip to the Cumming Country Fair and Festival back in the beginning of October, and it was so much fun! I remember always loving the fair when I was little, and just know Hayden and Sawyer are going to love getting to go to it each year as well. Both boys had a great time this year. Sawyer got to take a ride on his very first fair ride ever(and only at a tiny 5 weeks old I must add!), and Hayden got to ride his very first alone fair ride this year! Yes people, you read that ride... Hayden did something alone!:) He even liked it for the first few times around! It was when he told the attendant that he was all through and the attendant didn't stop the ride and let him off when he lost it. He did make it to the end of the ride, but he was not happy and he did NOT want to do it again!!! Not only did he not want to do that ride again, he didn't even want to try any other alone ride the rest of the night. Maybe next year the attendant will listen to him when he tells him he is all through and stop the ride and let him off! Ha, ha! Sawyer absolutely loved his first fair ride... the carousel of course! He almost fell asleep in my arms during the ride. I can't wait until next year to really see his expressions change as he is getting to experience the rides! Speaking of "firsts"... Hayden also got a chance to play his very first fair game this trip. I've never been a big fan of the games they have set up at the fair, or anywhere for that fact. Partially because I hate spending even MORE money than the admission, rides and food(all musts!), and partially because I hate the stuff you end up bringing home when you win. Fan or not, we gave in and let him play one this year. And guess what we ended up bringing home... yep, a FISH. Help! I really thought I would die. A fish?!? I don't even think it should be allowed for you to win something live that you are going to have to care for when you get home. It is so not fair! Funny thing is... it was Hayden's favorite part of the fair. It was that little game where you throw the ball and if it ends up in one of the fishbowls you win the fish. Well, Hayden loves to throw balls so it was the obvious choice for his first fair game, I just never thought we would end up with a live fish when it was all over! So, we now have a new member of the Ronn family. Blog readers, meet Bubbles...

I never thought he would make it past the first few days(especially since I didn't transfer him to a bowl or feed him!), but he is alive and well. I'm pretty sure he loves life as a Ronn. Much better than life on the road with the carnies I suppose!:) I guess I'd be pretty pumped too if someone upgraded my studio apartment in the slums with scraps to eat to a 3 bedroom in suburbia with two gourmet meals a day!! I'm sure you are wondering how we came up with the name... well, I gave Hayden a few choices and instead of any of the ones I gave him he pointed to the bowl and said "Bubbles". So, from that point on, our "pish" has been called Bubbles! I'm still not crazy about having another responsibility, but I'm sure he'll grow on me!!!

He got this excited or more so after every.single.ball. Oh, and the lady that was manning the goldfish game decided to keep giving Hayden more and more balls. She said she just loved watching him play because he was so into it, but I think she was just dying to give away one of her little goldfish!:) Either way, Hayden had a blast and it was SO much fun watching him play! I'm glad we gave in, it was worth it... Bubbles and all!!!

Fish were just our thing this year at the fair. Not only did
Hayden win his first fish, the first alone ride he rode
happened to be a fish as well!

This happened about mid-ride when he was "all through"...

But before that he was all smiles and loving it!!!

The whole fam got to ride the carousel!

I told you he almost fell asleep... he loved it!:)

Hayden got to watch the dog show atop Daddy's shoulders... isn't he lucky?!?
Although the show was great, I had much more fun watching
Hayden cheer on the dogs as they were catching their
frisbees. He was just so cute clapping along with
everyone else when the dogs did one of
their tricks!

And this was him playing in the grass after the show was over... so cute!

He even got a "paw"tographed frisbee that the dogs used in the show!
Pretty cool that he has a frisbee signed by the world champ huh?!?:)

We enjoyed fries and a corn dog(always a fair must!!)
while Hayden enjoyed running back and forth
from our table to the food stand!:)

He did take a break from his running every once in a while
to take a sip of fresh squeezed lemonade!:) I love how
the cup is as big as he is!

Aboard the Rockin' Tug!

Fun times on the slide! We went so fast Hayden's cheeks were flapping in the wind!:)

Of all the rides, this Sky Bucket ride was definitely Hayden's
favorite of the day. Who would have guessed?!?
I couldn't believe he even wanted
to ride it, much less like it!

Who needs kiddie rides when you have the sky buckets?!?

He talked to me the entire ride. He pointed out all the different rides he saw, and we even located the cotton candy stand and lemonade stand. He called the giant lemon that housed the homemade lemonade an apple, but I knew what he meant so I let it slide!:) We also spent time looking for Daddy and Sawyer who were making their way on foot to the other side of the fairgrounds to meet us when we got off the ride. During our hunt we waved and said hello to quite a few people below us, but it wasn't until right before our turn on the sky buckets was over that we actually spotted Daddy! You would have thought Hayden hit the jackpot he was so excited. He was screaming "Daddy" at the top of his lungs, waving and smiling ear to ear. Let me put it to you this way... Daddy turned around and saw us up in the air after Hayden let out his first "Daddy" scream it was so loud!:) Hayden just couldn't believe he had finally found him. It was a like a real live game of Where's Waldo... it was just Where's Daddy!!

This was the picture Daddy got right after we had spotted him!

Hayden insisted on sitting up on one of these stools even
though I thought he would probably fall down.
He won the battle and got to get up on one,
and obviously he was super excited
about it! Oh, and he didn't fall!:)

This is how the night ended... sound asleep!

Fun times at the fair!

And.... he's off!!! I'm pretty sure no kid thought this tractor was
as much fun as Hayden did. He loved "driving" it!

See ya next year Cumming Fair. We can't wait to have more fun!!

Monkeying Around!

Cutest little monkey in the world!!!

Is exactly what we did this past Halloween weekend... and it proved to be SO much fun. Well, all but the trick-or-treating part. Trick-or-treating was definitely not Hayden's best event of the year. I'll tell you all about it a little later in the post, but for now... the costume hunt. I am always on a hunt for the perfect costume each year. I find myself looking for something that represents the type of year we have had, or something we have enjoyed that year, and I am always wanting it to be some sort of family costume that we can wear at our Halloween costume party. This year I got lucky... the search wasn't too hard. The very first day I saw this monkey costume in Old Navy I knew what we were going to be going as for Halloween this year. It was the perfect family costume... for us anyways! Hayden would be a monkey and we would all be his bananas! Hayden is a monkey in real life so I guess he didn't really need a costume, but he looked so stinkin' cute in it I couldn't resist. Oh, and bananas are one of his favorite foods, so I just thought "perfect"! Even better was the fact that Target had a baby bunting infant banana costume for Sawyer and adult banana costumes for us. Since Target and Old Navy are two of my favorites I just knew it was meant to be!!! I wasn't sure about the fact that both of the boys would have to wear the hat part on their heads for the costume to be complete, but neither of them seemed to mind. As a matter of fact, I think they kind of liked it. Hayden never once tried to take it off which was a huge surprise. Me on the other hand.... my hat couldn't stay on. I guess one size fits all didn't fit me!:) I did however try to take a few pics with it on, but it was near to impossible to see my face with the hat part up. Go figure! Despite the hat issue, I still had a blast dressing up and partying! We had our annual Halloween party, Get Your Costume On, on Saturday and it was so much fun. We have been having this party since before we even had Hayden, and it is just gradually getting to be more and more fun. And more and more guests! It is fun getting to see everyone dressed up, and making all the Halloween inspired food is just as fun! I say it every year, and I'll say it again here... I can't wait to do it again next year!:) This year, the morning of the party we carved our pumpkins. It seems like we usually do it a couple of days before, but for some reason we didn't get around to it until the day of this year. Oh well, they still turned out super cute! Sawyer was fast asleep during the carving process, but Hayden was able to help out a little. Mostly get in the way, but he thought he was helping out. I know in a few years he will be a HUGE helper, and hey... you gotta learn somehow!!! I always loved carving pumpkins as a kid, and I know it will be a tradition the boys will love as well. It is always so much fun deciding what to carve! Now, on to my trick-or-treating story. For weeks now I have been telling Hayden about trick-or-treating... we even practiced saying trick-or-treat(which he never really got down I must say!), and through all of our talking about it and even watching a few cartoons about it, I thought he would be ready to roll when Halloween actually got here. Wrong. It did not matter how much we had prepared, he did not want to trick-or-treat. He was into playing with his friends, but knocking on doors for candy.... not so much. Maybe that is my fault because I never give him candy so he had no incentive to knock, but whatever the reason he was not into it. He especially did not want to do it with his friends. Once we broke away from his friends, he got a little better(like no loud crying outbursts or tantrums!), but he was truly never really that excited about it. Now, he did get to experience his first tootsie pop(thanks to one of our great neighbors) and that he did love. Maybe next year he'll enjoy the actual trick-or-treating part half as much as he enjoyed that tootsie pop!:) Sawyer was a trick-or-treating champ... slept right through it! I can't wait until next year when he can actually do it with Hayden! Here comes picture overload...

Don't you just want to eat this banana up?!?

Hayden doing what monkeys do best.... "Ooooooo, Oooooooo, Oooooo!"

I told you he was a monkey even out of costume!!!

He is even a monkey in his pajamas. Yes, that is him plugging his
ears to let me know he can't hear me talking to him. If anyone
knows who taught him this I would love to know!!

He turns into much more of a monkey in costume!!!

But a sweet monkey... that's for sure!

With a sweet little banana for a brother!

It's pumpkin carving time!!!

And it appears Hayden knew exactly what he was doing!!!:)
Maybe he did remember something from last year!
How funny is it that he put his entire head
down in the pumpkin?!?

The results...

It's party time!!!

This was our crazy pic... not too crazy I know, but still fun!
There were so many cute costumes huh?!?

Our attempt at a family pic!

The boys entertained themselves with golf most of the party.
Boys will be boys I guess!!!

The girls...

The guys...

I know you are wondering well, what about the kids?!? We tried our best to get a picture of all of them together and I was very unsuccessful. I guess it was way too hard to get a bunch of toddlers to get together for a photo... maybe next year. Don't worry though, you will get to see them all dressed up and in a photo together. I did catch one of them before we went trick-or-treating!:)

We took these on Halloween day before we got into costume
for trick-or-treat time!:) Hayden and Daddy had tons
of fun jumping off the porch together!

They even took a small little break to smile for a picture for me!:)

Sawyer's First Halloween!

Our attempt to get all of the kiddos together for a pic before the trick-or-treating
night began! I did a little better this time. At least I did get a pic!
OK, so maybe they aren't smiling(they actually look like we
are torturing them huh?!?), but at least they are
all together and you can see what they are!:)

Funny enough... I had no trouble getting pictures of them running
up and down the driveway before we took off for the night.
They were having so much fun they didn't even realize
they were getting their picture taken!:)

Ready to hit up some houses for some candy!!!

Don't worry... the paparazzi were right behind them!!!!! We
were sure to get our babies Halloween documented!:)

Yes, Hayden lagged behind just a little. OK, a lot.
I had to actually walk up there with him for him to do his
trick-or-treating. And I'm pretty sure this first house was Hayden's
last house with the group. Like I said... he wanted nothing to do with it.
At least he started warming up to the idea when we were away from the group.
He did actually manage to trick-or-treat at a couple of houses... it just had to be Momma and Hayden!

I snapped this after he had warmed up to the "candy" idea!

And this was sweet little Sawyer... I'm sure he won't sleep through it next year!

Taking a break...

Pictures with my monkey and banana!

Aren't they cute?!?

Even sweet little Sydney was a banana!!!
If only that silly hat hadn't covered my face...

So sweet!

You know I love me some PJ pics! I think this one is so cute because
Hayden was actually crying right along with Sawyer when I was
trying to get them together to take this picture, but when he
realized Sawyer was crying he stopped to check
on his brother! So sweet!

Then they let me get this pic!

I couldn't manage to get all three of them at once, but yes...
Sydney did have her own set of skeleton PJ's!:)

Precious...

Cheese!!!

Hayden's very first tootsie pop... can you tell he was excited?!?

So excited he ate it right with the paper still on it!

He even leaned back and put his feet up.... I guess he got tired!:)

And he sure was cute eating it! Maybe I'll give him a few
more(with no wrappers!) before next Halloween
so he remembers how good they are and
enjoys trick-or-treating a little more!!

Look at that big smile!

This is what Hayden looks like when his excitement
gets the best of him! Clenched fists and all!!!

Still sporting those chubby cheeks!

Until next year...
