Apples, Apples Everywhere!

Don't they look so cute picking their apple?!?

Well, on an apply orchard that is!:) We went apple pickin' a few weeks ago at Hillcrest Orchards and had such a great time. This place is a fall must... it is so much more than apple picking. It is one of the 987 reasons I LOVE fall! There are so many fun fall activities. Not only do you pick apples here, there are hayrides, cart races, a giant slide, pig races, a huge jumping pillow, bee keepers, a petting farm, a moonshine museum, and the list goes on and on. Of course we didn't get to do it all, but we sure did have fun doing the things we had time to. It is a tradition I will probably want to be doing long after the kids are grown and outta here!:) It truly is a place that I would have fun going to just Matt and I! I'm not so sure Matt would agree, but I'm sure he'd amuse me and tag along!!! I know it is something the boys are going to look forward to each year, and love more and more as they get older. I really do think Hayden liked the pickin' apples part last year, but I KNOW he liked it this year. He is still talking about apppppllllllllles to this day! So cute! Sawyer was in outdoor heaven. He enjoyed the new scenery so much it put him right to sleep!:)
These little feet make an apple look big!

This is the best we got for a family pic...

Hayden loved the new jumping pillow!

And look how hilarious Sawyer looks on this bull! Hayden wanted
nothing to do with sitting on him, so we let S
awyer give it a try!:)

Ready for the pig races...

Hayden's favorite thing was definitely running up and
down the "apple isles"!!! I even caught a smile!

And a pout!!!:)

And I love this one of him checking out his apples!

He even tried to help me get a good picture of Sawyer... such a sweet boy!

The good picture thing didn't happen because Sawyer decided to
wake up, but we did get this p
ic of him sleeping by the tree!!!

And no trip would be complete without one of these pictures!!!
I swear he enjoyed the hayride, he just didn't enjoy when I
tried to sit him down and take his picture!:)

Such a sweet boy!

Momma and Daddy being silly!!!

This was after we got home, but I just had to include it... so cute!

Fun times at Hillcrest!

I told you he loved it!

We can't wait to go back and pick more apples next year! Fun, fun, fun!!!

Pumpkins Galore!

How sweet is this?!?

We made our annual trip to Burt's a few weeks ago, and we had such a great time! I think it is so much fun to go to such a huge pumpkin patch and sort through all the pumpkins for your "perfect" one, and I think my boys think it is just as much fun as I do! I am pretty sure this is the biggest pumpkin patch ever, so there are always plenty to choose from! Oh, and all at great prices I must add! It is a bit of a drive to get up to Dawsonville, but it is oh so worth it! I kind of thought Hayden would be a little more into picking out his pumpkin this year than he was, but what do I know?!? He was much more into the hayride, running around the patch, and throwing rocks into the creek than picking out a pumpkin. It was probably a good thing, because I didn't have to worry about him picking up and smashing any pumpkins, AND I got to get him the pumpkin I wanted him to have!!!:) We'll leave the pumpkin smashing for next year! Of course, this was Sawyer's first trip to Burt's, and I was a little nervous because of him being so little and the place being so crowded, but it turned out great. He was such a good boy and there weren't too many crazy people trying to breathe all over him! He loves being outside, and this was no exception. He obviously didn't "pick" his own pumpkin, but we did get him the cutest little baby pumpkin ever!:) We even took him on the hayride with us which proved to be a good idea. He slept through the entire ride! He thought it was as relaxing as we did... he just got to act on his feelings and sleep!!! If only babies knew just how good they had it! Oh, and Sydney wasn't with us because you can't take dogs, but we got her a cute little white pumpkin so she didn't feel left out!

Hayden wasn't so much into the picture taking this day,
so this was the best pumpkin pic I could get...

I did however catch this "wow" face on camera when he saw a few
of the pumpkins fall over after he ran into them!!!

Neither of our attempts at a family picture exactly worked out... I told
you Hayden didn't want to take pictures this day! And he
especially wasn't going to cooperate with a stranger
trying to take our pic!:) Oh well, I'm sure we'll
look back and get a good laugh
out of it next year!

I mean, we can't really blame him... he did not have
pictures on his mind, he had the hayride on his
mind. He knew the hayride was coming up
next and he couldn't wait to ride it! He
literally ran up the ramp to give
the nice man his ticket!

And he enjoyed every single second of it... especially
when he got to peak his head over the edge!!!

It was Sawyer's very first hayride as well as his favorite part of the day!

Hayden even smiled for me after the ride!

And I caught a cute father/son moment...

Daddy got this one of Hayden trying to help me get Sawyer ready for his picture!

Me and one of my sweet boys...

and the other sweet boy!

I think he was a little overwhelmed with how
many pumpkins there were at first...

But it didn't take long for him to figure out how to
run through them and have a little fun!

They came in all different shapes, sizes and colors!

They even grew some bigger than Sawyer!:)

And these were the ones we came home with!

While I was feeding Sawyer at Burt's, Daddy and Hayden had fun
playing in this little creek. I think they probably threw over
100 rocks into the water... boys will be boys I guess!!!
Daddy definitely had as much fun as Hayden, and
you can tell by this picture just how much
fun that was!:)

We took a little walk through the bridge after feeding
time, and this was us looking at the creek Hayden
and Daddy had been throwing rocks into!

Looking at the camera for Daddy!

Cheeeeeeeesssssssssssseeeeeeee!

I just had to end the post with a pumpkin picture...
I love Sawyer's lips in this one!

Happy pumpkin pickin' everyone! We'll see you next year Burt's...

Run, Ring Bearer, Run!

Go, Hayden, Go!

Auntie May and Uncle Dan are married! Saturday, October 16th was the big day and we were so happy to be a part of it. We had such a great weekend with them and are so happy to have Uncle Dan as an official part of the family now! Hayden was the ring bearer and boy did he do a great job. We were pretty certain he was not going to go down the isle at all, but he most certainly proved us wrong! He RAN down the isle(thanks for your help Grandaddy)! Not exactly the walk we were looking for, but it really turned out to be super cute... he got the whole place laughing! We were so proud of our little man! Hayden's first time as a ring bearer was a huge success! Sawyer got to sit in the front with Daddy and watch everything and he did a great job as well. I never even heard one little peep from him. Angel I tell you, Angel. Hayden on the other hand managed to run down the isle right into my hands, so I got the pleasure of standing in 3 inch heels and holding him through some of the ceremony! Luckily he did decide he would go sit with Daddy after a little while! All in all it was a great wedding and we all had a great time. Auntie May is now a Lawler!

Cutest ring bearer ever!

Check out this cute shirt Gigi got Hayden to wear the day of the wedding. I don't even think Auntie May got a chance to see it because she didn't see Hayden before he was dressed and ready to run down the isle! Gigi finds the cutest things... love this shirt!

I'm pretty sure he accomplished every single one of these tasks!

And he was super cute sporting his shirt!

Not sure what he was thinking about getting into here, but
that face sure looks like it's into some
thing!:)

Sawyer was sporting a cute "My Auntie Is The Best" shirt, but of
course you can't see it here.:( At least I got this cute pic
of Great Grandaddy getting to feed little
Saw before the wedding!

I love both of their faces in this picture. Great Grandaddy is so excited to get his hands on him and Sawyer is looking up at him like who in the world are you, and why are you feeding me and not my Momma!!! Honestly, I nearly died when he asked me if I wanted him to feed Sawyer, because I didn't know he even knew how to feed a baby. Not that feeding a baby is complicated, but I just have never thought of my Grandaddy as the baby feeding kind. Of course I let him feed him, and to my surprise he did great. He was super attentive and seemed to really enjoy himself. He fed him the entire bottle all by himself and even did the burping in between. Impressive for my Grandaddy. Trust me! Oh, and that's not the only thing that surprised me about my Grandaddy that day. Guess what else he can do?

SEW!

I know you are thinking, "What in the world?", because I couldn't believe it myself. Apparently my Mom got in a bind and needed a little help with Meghan's garter at the last minute. Good thing she didn't ask me... there would have been no garter seeing as I can't even sew on a button correctly. Ha!

There is something about getting ready for a wedding that
is so stressful, yet so much fun at the same time.
This one was no exception! So fun...
and SO stress
ful!:)

Fun times!

All that working hard to get ready paid off though...

Looks like a postcard right?!? Meghan was a beautiful bride!

And of course Hayden looked absolutely adorable!

After the ceremony we went over to the reception location to take some group shots, etc. and thank goodness we had Uncle Troy there to help with Hayden. He can be quite a handful, but Uncle Troy did a great job keeping him entertained!

If they jumped off this stair one time they must
have done it twenty. Hayden love
d it!

And I loved getting my pic taken with the beautiful bride!

I am pretty sure he could have done this ALL.NIGHT.LONG!

For the most part it was all fun and games...

But he did give me this face a time or two when I told him to be careful!

I don't know how he had one bit of energy when he was done
with all his jumping and running, but he most
certainly did! He had a blast
!

He did require a snack before it was time for
the reception to actually begin. He loves
these apple cinnamon brea
kfast bars!:)

I know you are thinking what did poor Sawyer do during the whole wedding and reception? Don't worry, he was living it up doing exactly what 6 week old babies should be doing...

Sleeping, sleeping, sleeping!

I was so worried about having him out at such a huge event right when he turned 6 weeks old, but I couldn't have him miss his Auntie May's wedding. To my surprise there was nothing to worry about. He did great. He slept and slept and slept. Oh, and he did eat a time or two!:) He never seemed to be disturbed by any of the noise and he didn't make a peep during the ceremony. We couldn't have dreamed of a better child. We are so blessed to have him. And, because he was sleeping most of the time not too many people tried to bother me to hold him, touch him, etc. I was afraid that everyone would be wanting to hold him and kiss all on him because most of our extended family hadn't had a chance to see him in person yet. Sawyer helped me out in that department by falling asleep in my arms so it would be too hard to move him without waking him. Smart little baby Sawyer!:) It's not that I didn't want to share him and let other people cuddle with him, I was just a little apprehensive about SO many people passing him around because he was just still so young and small. I know at Elizabeth's wedding in April I will be loving the fact that so many people can help me hold him!!!

He even slept while we did a little dancing!

And right through our picture with the bride!

At some point I did get to pass him over to Gran
while I ate dinner and got this pic with Hayd
en!

But it wasn't long before we started seeing
Hayden fading into lala land hims
elf...

Daddy and Uncle Troy were convinced he wasn't ready for bed
and took him out on the dance floor for one last dance!
Like I said... he was ready for lala la
nd!

We hurried to get our family pic with Auntie May
before Hayden was gone for the night!

And about 2 minutes after that picture we were back on the
dance floor and both kids looked like this! How cute
is it that Hayden is holding onto Daddy's tie?!?

We danced with them for a few minutes just to make sure Hayden was fully asleep and then we put them down for the night. We had brought pack-n-plays for them to sleep in so we didn't have to leave early, which turned out great. They sleep perfectly and we were able to have a little bit of fun on the dance floor ourselves!

Fun times!

We caught Brad and Tiz trying to steal them some wedding gifts!

And had a great time watching all the first dances!

Dan and his Mom definitely know how to have a good time!

And this father/daughter dance was just the sweetest thing to watch!

Sisters...

The happy parents!

Dan had a lot of fun with this part of the wedding!

And I'm pretty sure he practiced his throw
a few times before the big night!:)

There is something about weddings that I just love, and when it is your sister doing the marrying part it is just that much better. A little stressful when your son is the ring bearer, but all in all... spectacular. We had a great time being a part of your wedding day Auntie May!

SO sweet I can't hardly stand it!
Hayden loves his Auntie May!
