The most wonderful time of the year...

Christmas 2009!

CHRISTMAS! I love this time of year. Although it is most definitely our busiest time of year, it is also one of the most enjoyable. We had a great Christmas this year. Santa was extra nice to Hayden!:) He got all sorts of toys... he wouldn't know what to do if we actually opened all of them right now. We'll just open them along and along. He'll have Christmas all year! Santa brought him a wagon which he has already thoroughly enjoyed and I feel sure will enjoy for a long time to come. Daddy and I were so happy Santa thought to bring Hayden this... assembled and all! We think he even remembered to take into account Daddy's height because the handle is long enough for Daddy to pull Hayden without having to bend over. Awesome huh?!? Santa also brought him his first coloring book and crayons, a singing pop up pals toy, a musical activity table, and a really cool interactive Elmo book. Wasn't Santa sweet?!? One of my favorite things he got was from Gigi and Grandaddy. They got him Teddy Ruxpin... I loved this little guy as a child and I just know Hayden is going to love him too! He is a teddy bear that reads stories to you. We haven't had him read a story yet, but I personally can't wait to get that bear reading!:) I think Daddy's favorite thing he got was a Chatters Cookie Monster. It is a little stuffed Cookie Monster that talks when you move him around. His favorite part is when he burps and then follows it with a "Scuse Me!" Can you believe I am going to let Hayden play with this?!?:) Uncle Troy gave him some Mega Blocks and that has been one of his favorite things to play with. He can actually fit them together... so cute! I am going to help him build a robot here shortly! Another toy Gigi and Grandaddy gave him that was a big hit was a Mickey Mouse ride on airplane. It is so cool! He can ride on it, push it, play with the buttons and even sort shapes with it. This one he really enjoys... he is entertained for quite a while with nothing but this little airplane!! He got tons of other toys, clothes, collectibles and necessities... just too much to list it all! I'm sure you'll hear about it at some point through the blog! I forgot to mention Sydney, Matt and I had a great Christmas as well... we just weren't on quite as big of a toy overload as Hayden!:) We had a great time getting together with everyone. Only 361 more days before we get to do it again... don't worry I'm not counting down! During this crazy hectic time we also had my Birthday celebration, and it was so fun! Matt took me to see the Nutty Nutcracker on the 20th which was the funniest thing ever. I highly recommend it! It was fun to get dressed up and go to the Fox, but even more fun to be dressed up and eat dinner at The Varsity!!!:) You should try it sometime! We had dinner with my family at The Cheesecake Factory on my actual birthday which was nice. I love that place... Chicken Madera and Red Velvet Cheesecake. Who can beat that?!? I actually went out on a limb and got the Red Velvet this time,(not normally something I do... I ALWAYS get the Tuxedo) and it paid off. SO GOOD!:) I got so many cute gifts and had such a great time at dinner. I love birthday celebrations! Oh, we also made a trip for Sydney to see Santa. This is something we do every year, but this year we didn't get to go until right before Christmas. Better late than never! We didn't get to go to the good Santa at the mall this year, but we did get to see the one that stopped by PetSmart. I was just happy she was able to tell Santa what she wanted this year! As you can see we have been busier than ever, and I have a ton of pictures for you! I hope everyone had as great of a December as we did. Until next year...

Cheesecake Factory Birthday Dinner!

Auntie May was supposed to be in this pic, but as you can
see Hayden took over!:) He enjoyed his meal so much
he left some for everyone to see on his fa
ce!!

The dinner lasted a little long for Hayden so Daddy helped
entertain him while we were waiting on our bill. This was
during a game of peek-a-boo behind the boo
th!

Hayden didn't really want to be part of this pic...

This was at Pappasitos... Hayden wasn't too crazy about the Birthday Hat!

Sydney's visit with Santa!

Remember this Snowman pic from last year?!?

This year we had a little Santa!

Christmas Eve at Gigi and Grandaddy's!

Having a blast!

Sydney, our elf!:)

Aren't they cute in their hats?!?

Right before the hat came off for the night...

Auntie May's cell phone kept Hayden occupied for quite a while...
why don't the toy ones keep them just as entertained?!?

Even the dogs were dressed for the occasion!!!

All the boys(Sydney just HAD to sneak in there!)!

We ended the night in our Christmas PJ's!:)

Santa came to see us!

Checkin' out their stuff from Santa...

Fun with Daddy on Christmas morning!

Opening gifts...

Christmas morning wore Sydney slap out!!!

Hayden was more interested in climbing out of the wagon than riding in it!

But once we made it outside he REALLY enjoyed the ride!
His little hands gripped the sides the ENTIRE ride!!

Maybe he didn't want to wear the hat because
I was putting it over his eyes?!?

Or he just really, really, really enjoys taking
the thing off! I think he thinks he
is doing
something great. The funniest thing to
see is him trying to put it back on!!!

Blue eyed Santy!

Grinch Santy!

Santy that got stuck in the chimney!

Present time!!!

Playing with his Mega Bloks... so into it!

Sydney and Hayden in their own little world... I love it!

Daddy and Uncle Troy putting together the new grill!

I think my Mom(Gigi) got this picture and I think it is so funny...
a picture of someone getting a picture(Hayden
was showing off his gifts to Grandaddy!)!

Sydney giving Daddy kisses... Hayden LOVES when she does this!!!

Me and my babies!

Sorting shapes with his new airplane...

Playing with Grandaddy's hat...

Three generations...

Sometimes when you set the self timer your picture turns out like this... HA!

But sometimes you get lucky and they turn out like this! Too cute!

Bundle of Joy!

The serious face...

Isn't he just so cute all bundled up?!? And, as far as the joy part... he is full of that bundled up or naked as a jaybird! He can make you smile on your worst possible day. It's so cold right now the only way to go outside is to look like you are ready to head down the ski slope. Well, minus the ski pants! It does make for some really cute pictures. Hayden loves to be outside so I try to get him out there as much as possible. Right now it is only for a few minutes at a time because it is so icy cold. Maybe that means snow this year(don't hold your breath people!). We thoroughly enjoy the little bit of time we do get to spend outside. I think Hayden likes the cold weather just as much as I do!:) He never seems cold... no matter how frigid his hands get! Oh, and don't even think about putting gloves on. Off they come! He will however keep a hat on for a minute or two. Longer than the 1/2 second he will keep one on indoors! I guess he does want his head to stay warm!! And, he really likes the wind to blow his direction. He gets a giant smile or even lets out a little laugh every single time it blusters by him! One day we are all going to have so much fun skiing/snowboarding down the big mountains together. I can't wait!

Laughing!

Shots from behind... don't you just love
the puffer vest and jacket?!? So cute!

Saying "Hi" to Mr. Snowman! Too bad the sun was directly in his eyes...

One, two, three... say cheese for Mommy!:)

Big belly!!

And this is the face I get when the hat
comes off... so proud of hi
mself!

Still sporting those chubby cheeks!

Using the fence as a walker...

Watching Sydney play...

Always has to show Mommy that tongue...
it is cool you know!!

Cut those eyes and grin boy. That is what I told him to do here! Ha!

Sweetest boy ever!

Look at all those teeth!

He spotted something...

And this last one has nothing to do with being cold outside but I just had to include it because it was so cute! This past week we took Hayden to Toys R Us because they do a mini birthday celebration for the kids during their birthday month. We had absolutely no time closer to his birthday so we figured better late than never! They gave him a birthday crown and balloon and made an announcement for him over the loud speaker. We had a good time with it! Of course we couldn't leave without a toy... those Toys R Us marketing people know what they are doing!!:)

The crown stayed on for 5 seconds MAX...
I told you he doesn't do hats indoors!:)
