Very Merry...

Christmas 2011!

Christmas! Wait, did I just type the words Very Merry Christmas?!? How is it possible that Christmas has come and gone already? It just keeps coming and going faster and faster every year. And, getting more and more fun every year as well! It is just so much fun to get to experience Christmas through the eyes of a child. I always loved Christmas as a child, but the feeling I get waiting for Hayden and Sawyer to get to experience Christmas morning tops that feeling I got as a child any day! I can't even imagine how much better it will get the older they get. The more excited they get, the more fun it is for me! They are just so much fun to watch. Santa sure was good to them this year...

Cool racetracks huh?!?

He even left Mommy, Daddy and Sydney some stuff in their stockings!

I'm sure he probably left Hayden and Sawyer a few extra things because of the yummy cookies and milk they left him and the healthy carrot snack they left his reindeer!

MMmmmmmm....

This is how we found the snack area on Christmas morning...

Everything must have been super yummy.
Only a few cookie crumbs were left!:)

To say the boys enjoyed Christmas morning and seeing what Santa brought for them would be an understatement. They were overjoyed. They didn't exactly want to run downstairs and see if Santa had come when they woke up(kind of nice actually... I know those 6am wake up calls on Christmas morning are coming soon enough!), but as soon as I started talking about it they were ready to go! It was so much fun! You would have thought they were in the middle of Toys R Us the way they were acting. It was like they didn't know what to do next. At one point Hayden looked at me and said "Is this stuff is all Hayden's?" To which I replied "Yes, buddy... it's yours." He then said to me "It's not the store's? Santa pay this stuff to the lady(he calls anyone who checks you out at a store a lady!)?" It was so cute... he couldn't believe Santa had bought him all of his favorite toys! And although Sawyer can't quite articulate as well as Hayden yet, you could tell he was just as happy with his new toys. I was afraid we would never get him calmed down enough to even eat breakfast!

Sawyer really loved his new music toy!

And Hayden really loved playing it with him!

I had personally told Santa that Sawyer was serious about wanting a new music toy, so I was pretty sure he was going to bring him some type of new music accessory. What I didn't know was just how excited Sawyer would get when he got his new toy!:) He LOVED it! He is so into music right now(well really always has been). It just makes him smile all over! Oh, and he is quite the dancer! To see his little body move with the music is priceless. I am talking SUPER cute! He just can't get enough! I think he likes music as much as Hayden likes electronic games...

Look what Santa brought me Momma!

Now when I say Hayden loves electronic games, I mean loves. Like as much as he loves watching a show! If you know Hayden at all, you know he loves his shows!:) Takes after his Momma, what can I say?!? I never thought I was going to have to limit something as much as I do TV, but TV has met its match with electronic games as far as Hayden is concerned. He would play all day long without even stopping to eat if I would let him. It is absolutely crazy. Crazy I tell you! Not only does he love them, he is good at them also. Like better than most adults. He and Daddy are going to be gamers together before long! Yikes!

The only thing he loves more than games,
is for you to watch him playing a game!
He loves someone seeing how good
he is doing!:)

One thing Hayden and Sawyer both love playing with is CARS...

Cool new racetracks!

The number of cars we have in this house would blow your mind. And they play with every.single.one. It is crazy. I guess that is why Santa thought it was okay to give them their wish and bring them a few more cars and accessories to go along with the cars. They do play with them... and they play hard! I guess it is like a girl with baby dolls. Whatever it is, it is bizarre and crazy hard to keep up with and clean. I am pretty sure I am going to stop counting all the cars every night here shortly! Who knew the boys would be helping my OCD at such an early age by having a million cars for me to keep up with!:) Well, who besides my Mom? Gigi knew... I'm certain of that! At least the boys know how to have a good time...

Fun times with the new penguin race Santa left! Yes,
I had this as a kid myself and loved it... nostalgic!

Loving on their new interactive dog Jingle!

The boys loved everything... Santa did good!

Especially with this gift...

Yay! The boys now have their very own jump place!!!

And it is a huge hit!

Although a trampoline was not on either Hayden or Sawyer's list for Santa this year, it sure was a great surprise! Mommy and Daddy had a sneaking suspicion about this one and clued Santa in. We thought the boys would love this if Santa brought it for them, but we just didn't know how much. They love to go to jump places and jump until they are so tired they can barely walk out the door, but we didn't know if this would provide that same kind of jumping fun. Well, for the record... they definitely love this just as much! As a matter of fact, Hayden calls it "His Jump Place!" That's right people, we now have a jump place of our very own! I loved having a trampoline as a child, and I hope they have as much fun with it as we always did. Right now it is in our garage(Santa left it there because it was raining Christmas Eve when he dropped it off), which has been super nice for the boys because they have been able to play in it everyday(even with all this yucky rain!), but not so great for our cars! I personally can't wait to move their new trampoline to the backyard!:) They are probably going to love it even more then, because they will be outside while jumping!! The only problem is going to be we can't do it EVERY day. I'm glad they already enjoy it so much...

Sawyer totally thinks he is jumping when he is moving
his leg up and down on the mat! So cute!

He has no idea he doesn't look just
like Hayden when he is jumping!

Can you believe how high Hayden can already get?!?

Sawyer loves getting bounced around like popcorn!

And rolling from one side to the other!

And Hayden loves doing seat drops!

And belly jumps!

Trampoline fun!

Santa also did a great job filling up our stockings this year. Even Mommy and Daddy got some pretty great things! Watching Sawyer dig through his stocking is something I could watch over and over. It was hilarious. The stocking was literally as big as he was, and he still managed to get his stuff out of it! So cute!

Checking it out...

And finding his new cell phone!

I would like to note here just how much he loves to talk on the phone. It is crazy! The best part is all he likes to say is "bye." He will say it over and over and in the sweetest, softest voice you have ever heard. He also thoroughly enjoys pushing all the buttons... hints the need for a "play" cell phone. We have used our more "baby-ish" one up and my real cell phone has certainly taken a beating over the past couple of months. Thank you Santa! Let's see how long this one will last!:)

I'm pretty certain Sawyer had as much fun watching Hayden
go through his stocking as he did going through his own!

Sawyer found a couple of new balls in his stocking which excited
him to no end! As soon as he pulled out the green light up one
he was scoot, scoot, scooting to the kitchen where he
could enjoy throwing it and seeing it light up!!

I have never seen two boys more excited about a $1 toy
than these two boys. Although the chinese yo-yo's don't last
long around here, they sure are fun until they are destroyed!:)

Hayden found a new Winnie the Pooh DVD in his stocking! Yay!

And Santa left both the boys new toothbrushes which they were
thrilled over! Both of them actually took them right out and
started brushing their teeth with them! So cute! Santa got
Hayden his very first electric toothbrush and
believe it or not he LOVES it!

One of the funniest parts of the stocking extravaganza... the "pay card!"

When Hayden pulled this gift card out of his stocking he could hardly contain himself. Mommy, Mommy... "I got a pay card, want to go to the store wit me?" He totally thinks he can take this card anywhere and use it for the things he "NNNNeeeeeeeddddds!" He is, after all, pretty good at swiping those pay cards! I guess I'll spend the next few days trying to explain the difference in a gift card and a credit card!:) They are all just pay cards to him!

My favorite stocking picture! Hayden ran right over to Daddy and
said "Look Daddy, Santa got Hayden new underwears!!!" Yay!

Daddy was just as excited about the new underwear Santa had left for him!:)

Stocking fun!

After all our Santa fun was over, we had more present fun when we started opening up our family gifts. We had gotten each other a couple of gifts and G-Ma and G-Pa had sent us a few gifts to open as well. All the way from Valdosta!:) Cool huh?!?

Hayden gets pretty into the unwrapping of gifts these days!!!

Check out Sawyer's face... he's like "what is this?!?" Hilarious.

Opening their joint gift(to all the boys) from
Mommy and Sydney! Yep, it's a new game!:)

Even Sydney unwrapped a gift! I love how she always gets
completely inside the bag! I intentionally pick huge bags
for her gifts just because I love watching her
get into them!

Hayden got a little more into the gift opening than Sawyer...
he even helped Daddy unwrap all of his!

Don't worry, Sawyer had a blast getting into the "no touch"
area of the kitchen while we were busy unwrapping
and not paying attention to him!:)

Oh, and loved trying to make his escape up the stairs!

Two of my cuties!

This was the beginning of a tissue paper party we had...

It got a little crazy!

But it sure was fun!:)

Maybe we'll have a tissue paper party again soon!
Love these memories!

Having fun with his new car racing ramp...

And having more fun with Sawyer's new jack-in-the-box
than Sawyer ever dreamed of having with it!

Fun with presents!

At some point during all the new toy madness we did manage to sneak in a super healthy breakfast...

Can you tell they love white doughnuts?!?

I am not kidding you when I say Matt actually had to go to two different places to get these $2 doughnuts on Christmas Eve. Thank goodness for Walmart! Crazy right?!? A place actually runs out of this bag of doughnuts? Who actually eats these on Christmas morning besides our crazy family?!? We have always made sausage balls for breakfast on Christmas morning, so I had the stuff for that, but at the last minute I decided I wanted to have the boys one of their favorite treats on Christmas morning as well. That last minute thinking is why I didn't have them on hand. Rikki, if you are reading this I know you are thinking "Yeah right Jenn didn't have those doughnuts on hand!" Really, we only eat them when we come to your house!:) Well, the boys were so excited to have them on Christmas it might just be an addition to our sausage ball Christmas morning tradition around here! Next year I won't wait until Christmas Eve to pick them up! Before the morning was completely over we HAD to let the boys watch Hayden's new Winnie the Pooh movie...

A very important thing to do!:)

Huge hit! I'm sure we'll watch it a few hundred times over the next few weeks. All the lines and songs will be memorized... by Hayden! He can quote a movie like an adult! Soon after our movie, we managed to get out of our PJ's and ready for the day just in time for Gigi, Grandaddy and Uncle Troy to come over. The boys were so excited to see them!

Sawyer scooting to greet them!

Hayden waiting/watching as Grandaddy brings in his Christmas present...

And guess what Gigi and Grandaddy brought him? A new bike! Actually both he and Sawyer got new bikes! Pretty cool if you ask me! When they mentioned to me they wanted to get them these I was super excited. Especially if Hayden's short little legs could reach the ground while on it! We knew Sawyer was going to love his because he plays on one like it every time we are at our local toy store, Learning Express. It is the perfect size for him and he has so much fun on it! Luckily for us Hayden's short little legs do fit his new balance bike, and he loves his as well. It won't be long before he takes off running on it for us! Oh, and they got new helmets which are just the cutest things ever. The perfect fit! We can even use them when we take them on the Greenway with us. Yay!

The bikes were a huge hit!

I told you Sawyer loved this thing!!!

Those feet are close, but they DO touch!

Loving it!

I think Sawyer's favorite part about the bike is that he is better
at his than Hayden is at his. He loves chasing
Hayden when they are on them!

And Hayden loves stealing Sawyer's!!!

Sawyer sporting his new helmet!

Fun with bikes!

Oh, and when we were opening presents with Gigi and Grandaddy, Hayden had one of his presents wrapped in this...

Perfect huh?!? I nearly died from the cute factor of it! I'm
gonna have him take it to Santa next year,
but tell him we want a little
sister ALSO, not
instead of!:)

Family pic!

Playing the new car ramp with BFF Grandaddy!:)

Having way to much fun with Uncle Troy's new fart book!

Yes, you read that right... Uncle Troy got a new fart book. Matt and I found these books at Barnes and Nobel one night a while back and we just had to get one for Troy. He(like most of the male species I have come to find out!) loves making fart noises with his mouth, and this book had a wide array of those noises from all over the world! It really is a funny book, I just wasn't thinking it would be shared with my 3 year old. I will remember that for next year! I'm pretty sure Hayden got as much fun out of it in 10 minutes as Troy could have gotten out of it in a lifetime though, so at least they had fun! Who knew farting noises could be so entertaining?!? Almost as entertaining as our newest electronic from G-Ma and G-Pa...

Any Biirrrrssss! Yep... we finally got an iPad, and the boys
call it any biiirrsss(angry birds). All day every day...
"Momma, vwanna play a game?
I vwanna play any bir
s!"

Apparently Hayden isn't too fond of sharing the iPad!!
Don't worry, it's a requirement whether he likes it or not!:)

We knew Hayden was going to love the iPad, but truly had no earthly idea Sawyer was going to have anything to do with it. Well, he does. He wants to play on it just like the rest of us. The only problem is, he just bangs and swipes, bangs and swipes... he has no clue what he is doing! Hayden on the other hand can beat a level faster than you can blink an eye! I guess it won't be long before they will be beating levels together! Right now, they are working together to get Sawyer walking...

Isn't that sweet?!?

Sawyer loves when his big brother helps him out...

And Hayden loves when Sawyer lets go and does it on his own!

Hayden literally cheers him on the entire time. It is so cute!
It won't be long before Sawyer finally takes the
leap from scooting to walking!

I do like the fact that he will stand still for the time being so I can take
cute pictures like these! I just had to get one in this hilarious
diaper. Can you believe they actually make this? Or that I
actually bought it and made him take a pic?!? Ha!

My little naked Santa!

And then we have this big boy Santa that tried to sneak
and steal the iPad while I was taking pictures of Sawyer!:)

I am hoping Hayden doesn't kill me one day for posting his naked 3 year old Santa pic, but I just couldn't resist. He insisted on being in his underwear and hat when he realized Sawyer wasn't going to have to put on his clothes, so I just let him do it. I had no idea I would get lucky enough to snap this sneaky pic of him!

It's not too hard to get a smiling pic, but sneaky
is just something you have to get lucky for!
Kind of like zero broken ornaments
with a toddler... we sure
were lucky!

Until this year.:( Just for the record, Hayden has never broken
an ornament(he obeys the no touch rule better than
Sawyer), but Sawyer broke 3 in just this 1 year.

All of which he knew better than to take off the tree in the first place!!!

Christmas day was a looooooong, but very fun day that ended with Sawyer as tired as ever but wanting to play just ONE more toy and Hayden all snuggled up in Mommy and Daddy's bed ready to watch "a show!" And guess what show he watched?!? Winnie the Pooh of course!:)

Merry Christmas everyone! We hope you had as much fun celebrating as we did. As Hayden both said and sung a million times on Christmas Day... Happy Birthday Jesus! You are the reason for the season, and we thank you for blessing us with the best family and friends anyone could wish for. We feel so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives!
