Happy Turkey Day!

Thanksgiving 2009!

I know it's a little late, but we have been super busy and I haven't had a chance to post about the Ronn family turkey day. We have had Thanksgiving, Black Friday(aka shop 'til you drop day), Grandma's Birthday, Hayden's Birthday Party and his actual Birthday is tomorrow so I just haven't had time to do much on the computer! Now it's time for me to play catch up!! This Thanksgiving was perfect for us... tons of food, laughter and love. I think we had as big of a feast as the pilgrims probably did back in the day!:) It was also Hayden's very first Thanksgiving! Our families came to our house to celebrate and that is exactly what we did. We had so much fun! We spent most of our time talking, laughing, playing ping pong, deciding where to go shopping first for black friday and getting things ready for Hayden's first birthday party that was going to be on Sunday. Well, I guess I must add that the boys did spend some time watching football! It was a great day and we were so happy to be able to spend it with our families.

Mommy's sweet boy!

Sydney posing for her pic!

Clapping for the camera!

Doesn't he look like he could belong to Auntie Tiz and Brad?!?

He really is always this animated!

Sticking their tongues out at Mommy!

Football... need I say more?!?

Half real smile, half fake smile... but I still love it!

How cute is this?!?

He's always getting those feet!

Hayden and Auntie May!

I think we might should have squeezed in a little tighter for this pic!

All the Ronn's!

Crazy hair!

Just cruising around!

Somehow I failed to get pics of everyone playing ping pong, so you'll just have to imagine how much fun everyone had doing that! AND... no pictures from Black Friday! WAY too busy shopping to snap any pictures! Matt, Troy, Meghan, Denise(Matt's Mom) and I all got to the stores at 5am and Denise, Meghan and I weren't back until 10pm!:) It was so much fun and we got such good deals. I can't wait to do it all over again next year!

Leaves, leaves, leaves...

Such a sweet smile!

They are falling everywhere!!! I feel like we didn't even really get to enjoy them changing colors before they fell. Hayden didn't seem to mind that part of it... he just loves them now that they are on the ground! We have gone out and played with the leaves in our backyard a few times now and he has loved it each and every time. He has even tasted a leaf or two believe it or not!:) For those of you wondering... he doesn't like the taste! AND, Mommy doesn't like digging them out of his mouth! He does however love to throw, crumble and admire them. They fascinate him. He explores every single part of the leaf... from the very tip top to the stalk at the bottom. He even analyzes the veins!!! Our little explorer is definitely taking it all in. I remember loving to play in the leaves as a child. It was an actual activity and we(my siblings and I) would get so excited when the leaves started to fall because we knew it wouldn't be long before we would be playing in them. I guess Hayden loves them just like we always did! I wonder if he'll like the part where you pick them all up and put them in garbage bags?!? We'll find out next year! HA!

He even got down and crawled amongst the leaves...
can't you tell he was having soooo much fun?!?

He even posed for a few pictures for his Momma!!:)

I guess he thought since he liked tasting the leaves
Sydney and Chubbs would enjoy it as well!

He had so much fun throwing them everywhere!

Walking along the fence...

I think I caught him mid-sentence... I'm sure he was
trying to tell me a story about the leaves!!!

It's Pajama Time!

This is what he looks like first thing in the morning when we go in to get him...
wide eyed and ready to go! He is always kneeling or sitting right up at the
front of the crib waiting on us to come and greet him with a big huge
"GOOD MORNING"!

It's official, I LOVE pajamas... especially the holiday themed ones!! I can remember always loving the holiday ones even as a child, and I love putting them on my child even more than that!:) Some of my favorite pictures of Hayden are in his PJ's. His hair is crazy, there is drool everywhere, he hardly ever has his socks on, there is usually leftover breakfast on his face... I mean it is just Hayden being Hayden! We just changed him from one piece footed outfits to the two piece ones and they are so cute I can't stand it. I have only taken a few million pictures of him in them!:) I just had to share! Speaking of pajamas, one of Hayden's favorite bedtime stories is Pajama Time. You all know how much we love to read a good book!! We have such a good time reading it. It is a Sandra Boyton book and we pretty much sing(in our loudest voice of course) the entire book! I'm not quite sure about it being a bedtime story, because it gets me all excited and ready to party, but Hayden seems to do just fine going to bed after it. I guess it doesn't get him quite as revved up as it does me!! Here are some cute PJ pics from the past few weeks...

I guess this is why he always takes his socks off...

Or maybe this!! The boy LOVES to play with his feet!:)

Gigi got him these mummy PJ's and they are so cute!
I especially love that they cover his feet.
No taking these sock
s off buddy!

Our cute little turkey is getting better at standing!

Who you calling a turkey?!?

He's gotta be having good dreams... the "real" monsters in the
room get scared outta there by the monsters on his P
J's!

Our very own super hero! Check out that face!!

Monster Party!

These super hero PJ's are hilarious! He definitely thinks
he has some sort of super hero power when he is
opening and closing doors. He gets soo excited!
He always makes sure I can see him doing it...
it is something great you know!!

Getting ready to throw me a toy!

I just had to give you a little sneak peak
of his extremely cute December PJ's!
This one is actually a one piece.
How cute is that little butt?!?

Costumes Everywhere!

The Penguins of Madagascar or The March of the Penguins?!?

Halloween was so much fun this year. I always love Halloween, but this year it was extra special because it was Hayden's first Halloween. He was the cutest penguin EVER... I promise!:) We did all kinds of fun things to celebrate Halloween. This past week at Gymboree the kids dressed up in their costumes for class and that was an absolute blast. All the little kiddos in costume were precious. They couldn't exactly get around and play as much as they usually get to during class, but they sure did have a good time staring at each other and pulling on each others costumes! We also took Sydney to Howl-O-Ween at Petsmart. This was her 5th year in a row going to her costume party and it is always a highlight of her year. This year she wasn't quite as "talkative" with the other dogs at the party, but she still had a good time. I guess she just wasn't interested in sniffing around this year... I'm not ready to say she's an old lady yet! She was a penguin too! Another thing we always do is decorate the house. Well, we includes my Mom, my sister Meghan, Matt and I... yes it takes all of us. One day I'll be good enough to do it myself!:) And, one day I'll carve my own pumpkin. For now, I'll let the boys do that part. They are so good at it! They always turn out sooooo cute, and I am able to make the yummy pumpkin seeds while the carving is going on!:) One of our favorite parts of Halloween is our costume party. It was such a blast this year. We made all kinds of Halloween themed food and even had a witches brew. It was a lot of fun. Next year I'm just going to try to make a few more of the food items before the day of the party. Everyone please remind me that one day is NOT enough time to make all that food! The costumes everyone wore were great. Mrs. Piggy and Kermit(my Mom and Dad) won the costume contest... so cute! Finally, trick-or-treating. Phew. I thought I'd never get to that part of Halloween! Hayden's first year going door to door went great. We carried him up to the doors and he seemed to enjoy it. WE enjoyed the candy!! I took plenty of pictures of everything as you can imagine! Enjoy!

Having fun flapping his wings at Gymboree!!

Such cute costumes!

Having fun in the tunnel...

I stole a second from him for a pic!

A few of his activities for the day... he climbed a foam mountain,
scooted/pulled up a "rock" wall, slid down a curved slide,
sang some songs and even had bubble time!

Look at me! Look at me!

Rocking in the boat with his friend Amalia... he was
having fun until he fell IN the boat!!! OOPS!

I love this picture of Hayden and Graham. They have so
much fun together during class. I'd love to know what
they were thinking/talking about here. So serious!

Howl-O-Ween 2009: Penguin!

Sydney's friends at Howl-O-Ween!

I guess she did a little more "talking" than I thought!

Pumpkin carving...

He was really into it!

The results...

I like to call these pictures "Fun with the Publix Shopping Bag!"

Ready to trick-or-treat...

He really lives the life... being carried around
to get candy!!! If only he could eat it!

It was really cold and drizzling outside.
We had to stay close to keep warm!

Fun times!

Digging out his "treats"!
