Happy Heart Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Yes, I realize Valentine's Day was back on the 14th, but we weren't able to celebrate until this past weekend because of our crazy busy schedule. Honestly, we don't do that much to celebrate seeing as it is a made up holiday and all, but we did get a chance to go out to dinner thanks to Gigi and Grandaddy! It was super weird being out without the kids. The dinner was so quiet and calm! Oh, and I most definitely snagged some "valentine" pictures of my two smallest valentines! Hayden had his very first Valentine's party at school which was a lot of fun for him. It was super cute seeing all the wee little ones with their bags full of Valentine's. As soon as I picked him up he wanted to dump his bag out and show me each and every thing he got. So cute! Hayden and I have been calling it "heart day" because Valentine's was a little hard to say and when he was showing me everything he got at school he kept pointing to all the "hots" and saying "hot day, hot day." Precious! It has been so nice out we even enjoyed a day at the park on actual Valentine's day. Hayden and Sawyer both thoroughly enjoyed that! Now for the pictures...

Having fun at the park...

Along with his little brother!

I don't know why I didn't think to bring the Bumbo along with us before now, but Sawyer loves it. I am thinking it never occurred to me before because it wasn't all that warm out and I had to keep him all bundled up. He enjoyed it so much more when he was able to use the Bumbo to help him sit up on his own! It won't be long before he will be sitting without it!:)

My little love bandit!

My other little love bandit! Isn't this smile hilarious?!?

This boy loves him a slide...

And any type of ball! I think we threw this around
the park for a good 30 minutes straight!

Sawyer just sat smiling and watching the
whole entire time! Sweet, sweet boy!

I told him we probably wouldn't find these brown leaves
on the ground for very much longer so we enjoyed
playing with those for a little while too!

And he even did this real smile for me at some point!

You know me and my PJ's... of course I love these "Mom" ones!:)

Sawyer got crazy and pushed Hayden over during our little photo session!!

And Hayden thought it was SO funny!

Sawyer absolutely loves when Hayden reads to him!
I'm pretty sure this was their Moo, Baa, La
La, La book. So cute!

This is the one thing they do that is just alike... suck those fingers!:)

Gotta love these baby blues...

And this gorgeous smile!

Valentine's pictures wouldn't be complete without
pictures of my first little valentine!

This face cracks me up!

I love this one!

Awwwwww....

Little man!

Cute as can be!

So, although we aren't big Valentine's day celebrators, I still managed to use it as an excuse to take some pictures, get a few cute decorations for the house and get the boys some cute pajamas! Oh, and how could I forget the great dinner Matt and I managed to get! I think I'll start looking forward to the holiday a little more now! Happy heart day everyone!

New beds for a new year!!!

Hi Mommy!!!

AND new rooms to be exact! That's right... I finally did it! All the anxiety I had about moving the boys to their new beds in their new rooms was for no good reason. They did great! I am still sad that I had to move Sawyer from our room, but I'm sure I'll soon get over it. I really don't know what it was about moving him that was so hard for me, but it was. I'm guessing my Mom's theory of me having to move them both, therefore causing it to be harder is probably the closest to right. I never had much of a problem... correction, NO problem moving Hayden to the nursery. We made that move right when he started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. Fast forward almost 2 years later to Sawyer being 6 weeks and sleeping through the night and you find me having trouble moving Sawyer to the nursery. I just wasn't ready to move him. Truthfully, I still wasn't ready to move him when we finally did, but I promised Matt I would do it after the New Year so I had to. I had finally run out of excuses of why I needed to keep him in our room! So, I'm sad, but the task was completed right after the new year and the boys could not be happier. The transition was seamless... they both sleep like champs in their new rooms. I was secretly hoping one of them would need me in there to "help" them get to sleep, but no such luck there. Sawyer loves his new room and "big" bed so much I now have to wake him up in the morning or else he would stay laying in there all.day.long. And other than Hayden needing a little extra lovin' the very first night, it's like he never even realized he got moved into a new room with a new bed. Pretty crazy. All that anticipation and preparation for the worse for nothing! Check out our happy campers...

So happy!

Lovin' his new bed!

Sound asleep...

Just like his brother!

Hayden's new "space" room! There are even stars
all over the ceiling... so cool! I love it!

Don't you just love Hayden's new room?!? It was so much fun creating it and he absolutely loves it! Mission complete!!! We completed this room for him during the time we were expecting Sawyer, but it wasn't until now that Hayden actually started using the room. I had great intentions of moving him before Sawyer even arrived, it just didn't work out like I had planned in my head. As you can see by the picture we even decorated it for Christmas! For whatever reason, after we had worked diligently to get everything ready for Hayden to move to his new room before Sawyer was born, I just didn't think he was ready once we had it all done. I don't know if it was because of everyone telling me it was going to be a huge adjustment, or what, but I certainly was not ready to make the leap. So, after all that work the room just sat there unused for a few months(well... unused by Hayden, but I used it for a laundry folding room and Christmas gift storing room!)! Oh well, it sure looked pretty! And it gave Hayden and I tons of time to go in there and talk about it being his new room. Maybe that is what made the transition so easy once I decided to go for it. Who knows! I'm just glad it was an easy transition for him. Although we kept the nursery the same for the most part, I still took a picture of it too...

It had Christmas decorations at one point too, but
somehow I can't find a picture of that!:(

He loves it!

Other than the new pictures on the wall and a few other little Sawyer additions, it is the same as we had it for Hayden when he was in the nursery. I didn't really think Sawyer would have a hard time changing rooms... I knew he was ready! He had definitely outgrown the cradle. As expected, he loves having his own room and bigger bed! We are thinking we will leave Sawyer in here until he uses the crib as a toddler bed just like we did with Hayden and then we will put them in the space room together. That is the reason we got two beds for that room. So, hopefully they get along and want to share a room one day!:) I'm sure they will think it is super cool when I give in and let them bunk the beds(yes, they will eventually bunk... scary, I know!)!

This is Hayden telling me he is going
"To Infinity and Beyond!"

Hayden's first night in his new room...

Cheese!

True story: We put Hayden down around 8:30pm and never heard one single peep from him once I left the room. Around 10:00pm I asked Matt if he thought it was safe for me to go in there to snag a pic of him sleeping. He says "well he's definitely sleeping." So, up the stairs and to his room I go, camera ready! I open the door super quietly(keep in mind I already have the flash ready so the camera doesn't make one bit of noise when I enter the room) and up pops Hayden's head and he says "Hey Mommy! Cheese!!!" You have got to be kidding me. It was like he knew I was going to come up there and get a picture of him sleeping! So much for the sleeping pic at 10pm! Surely he wasn't awake that whole time though right?!? I guess we'll never know!

Sawyer, on the other hand, slept right through my picture time!

I don't know when or how I ever got this pic because he never uses
his pillow appropriately and certainly never lays under the
comforter like this, but it happened at some point!:)

Sweet boy!

Doing a little tummy time!

What kind of sleeping position is this?!?

I must note here that all of those things you see in Hayden's bed are totally necessary. 5 lovies, a blanket, Scout and his lovie, a stuffed monkey, and his pillow. One night I tried leaving out one of the lovies just to see what he would do and he absolutely would not get in the bed without it. We went on a pretend hunt for it(seeing as I knew where I had put it and all!). Note to self: do not misplace any of Hayden's sleeping companions!!!

Aren't they just the cutest?!?

Couldn't even take the thumb out for a picture... at least he smiled!

Leave it to Hayden for me to walk into his room and him being
laying in his bed like this! I guess he was admiring
the stars on the ceiling!:)

So, for all you Mom's worried about the transition from one bedroom, or even bed for that matter, to another... quit worrying! They will do great!!!
