You GOTTA love a good fair!!!

Family Fun at the Fair!

Oh, Cumming Country Fair and Festival... We Love You!!! I mean who doesn't love a good fair?!? You gotta love a good fair!:) This past Thursday night we took our yearly trip to the fair and boy was it fun! You all know how I love this outing every year, and this year was no exception. Love the food, love the attractions, and even love the people! It is just so much fun. Truthfully, I start getting excited about all the fun fall events before the summer ones are even over, so it's no surprise the fair was a huge hit again this year. It is one of those things we just can't miss! Hayden has already asked us to go back, and I'm pretty sure some of the Sawyer gibberish we hear around here is asking to go back to the fair as well. They both had so much fun! Last year Sawyer was just a teeny tiny little thing at the fair, but this year he was big enough to take part in his very first ride without Mommy or Daddy. Amazing huh?!? Don't worry, Hayden was right there with him... I still didn't think it was time for an alone ride. Next year will be his year for that!:) Hayden will probably be disappointed when that time comes, because he just loves being able to "help" with Saw! He was so excited when I asked him if he wanted to sit with Sawyer on a ride without Mommy and Daddy. "Yay, Mommy... Hayen will vwatch Saw and help him have fun!" There was no denying his excitement. And it must have lived up to his expectations, because he was actually just telling me about how "tool" it was again this morning! As for Sawyer, I don't think he knew what to expect, but had he had high expectations, then I'm sure the ride lived up the them.

Sawyer was a little nervous to begin with...

But, the ride proved to be fun for him!

Hayden was telling us here that Sawyer was "hasin' fun!" I'm pretty sure he was more concentrated on Sawyer during the ride than the actual ride itself. He is such a sweet brother. I love that he wanted him to have fun! I mean don't get me wrong, Hayden had a great time on the ride as well, it's just that part of the time he was so concentrated on Sawyer having fun I don't even think he realized he was on the ride! This is actually the same ride that Hayden rode last year all by himself for his very first alone ride, so it was fitting that it was the first one for Sawyer to ride without one of us. I know next year Sawyer's gonna be wanting to do everything with his big brother!:) I am secretly sad that they will both be big enough to do some things without us. I like having a little one that needs me for everything!!! Them on the other hand... not so much. They love being "Big!" Hayden thoroughly enjoyed his time on the Circus Train...

He did however turn to make sure we were
watching every turn he was taking!:)

Once he realized we weren't going anywhere, and we were
going to watch each and every move he made, he
sat back for a fun, relaxing train ride!

His favorite part however was definitely pushing his
button that made special sounds. He loved
making the girls sitting in front
of him squeal!:)

Poor Sawyer wasn't quite tall enough for this ride, but he managed to have fun watching his brother enjoy the ride! Speaking of being tall enough, Hayden wasn't really tall enough for very many rides himself. You had to be 36 inches for quite a few of the rides, and apparently he is just shy of that. I'm pretty sure you had to be 36 inches for this little train ride, but somehow Hayden managed to sneak on it! Not true of any of the other 36 inch restriction rides though. We were told time after time... "Your too short this year buddy. Maybe next year." Poor guy, by the end of the night he was just walking around telling everyone "I'm too shor." One of the funniest things that happened at the fair was when we were in line to ride the Rockin' Tug, a family ride. Hayden had wanted to be doing something else at the moment, so he walked right up to the gentlemen taking tickets, showed him his hand stamp and said "I'm too shor, right?" Hilarious. The guy even started laughing. Hayden totally thought it was going to get him out of doing the family ride, and get him back on the boats he so desperately wanted to ride over and over. Funny enough, Hayden is still using the "too shor" line here at home when he isn't wanting to do something. "I'm too shorrrr(yes he drags it out when he really doesn't want to do it!) to come upstairs Mommy, maybe next year!" All I can do is laugh. Occasionally he even lets us know that Sawyer is "too shor" for something! At least next year he can look forward to being a little taller and getting on those "tooler" rides!:) However, I'm not sure how any of the "cooler" rides could be more fun for him than this boat ride was...

Having the time of his life with one of his great friends Ellie!

Loving every.single.minute of it!

Boy how I wish I knew what their conversation was about!

Although I couldn't tell you what they were talking about, I can tell you they had the best time together on this ride. I'm pretty sure Ellie is the reason Hayden even wanted to ride the ride over and over later in the evening. I'm not so sure the ride was that great, but riding it with Ellie was awesome! When we did manage to get back over to the ride later in the night, he kept asking us "Vwhere's Ellie?" It wasn't near as much fun without her! They had so much fun I had to make them a little collage...

How cute are they on their little boat ride?!?

Hayden ready to ride that same boat ride later in the evening.
He was this excited to show his ride stamp to each
and every ride attendant! Very proud of it!:)

The boat ride just wasn't quite the same without his Ellie!

Sawyer sure had a good time scooting to watch his big brother ride...

Scoot, Sawyer, Scoot!!!

Of course he turned to make sure we were
watching how great he was doing!

Not only did he scoot right up to the ride, he went ahead and stood up!
I'm pretty sure he was thinking... everyone else is standing
up to watch, so I better stand as well!!!

How funny is this face?!?

Having SO much fun!

After the ride, Hayden ran to Daddy and enjoyed a "Daddy Ride!"
Better than any fair ride if you ask me!!!

It's fun getting to watch them ride their rides and have a good time, but I have to admit I am super excited we will at least be able to slide with the boys for a couple more years...

Sawyer's first trip down the fair slide... he was a little nervous!

Hayden was right there cheering him on!!!

I was totally having as much fun as Hayden!:)

The boys could have done this slide a half million times had we let them, but the line took absolutely forever so we had to hold the limit to three or four. Hayden pitched a little hissy fit for us each time we had to leave the slide. He likes making a scene... what can I say! I don't know why he wanted to keep doing it again and again seeing as he disliked the line for the slide as much as we did. It was ridiculous how long it would take to go down one little time. BUT, the ride down sure was fun! At least there was a reward for the wait!:) We couldn't spend all of our time in line for the slide. We had to save time for all the other fun attractions...

Like the Rockin' Tug! Such a fun family ride!

We all had a blast...

Especially Daddy!

We also had tons of fun on the carousel!

The boys waiting their turn to ride...

The wait was well worth it for Sawyer... it was his favorite ride of the fair!:)

Sawyer always loves the carousel when we ride it anywhere, but for some reason this one was extra fun for him! And as you might have already guessed, the boats were definitely Hayden's favorite ride, but the chairlift came in a close second. He loved it last year, and loved it again this year...

Can you find us?!?

Loving our ride in the sky!:)

We had so much fun on our long sky ride. We looked for all the people we knew and hollered down to Daddy and Sawyer so they could find us up in the sky. It was so much fun to see everything from above. It was also hilarious to hear everything Hayden was "seein'". The lights for all the rides and vendors came on at one point during our ride and Hayden could not believe it. "Did you see vat Momma? So tool huh?!?" Oh, I love that boy. And I loved our ride! Daddy and Sawyer pushed the stroller to the other side to meet us, so they didn't ride this year... next year we'll all be up there!!! Once we were on the other side of the fairgrounds, we decided to watch the dog show and even saw a few animals at the petting zoo...

Sawyer was too short to see over the railing, but Hayden and
Ellie enjoyed the dog show from the very first row!:)

Matt and I usually enjoy watching this little show because they do some pretty cool dog tricks, but this year we didn't get to watch quite the whole thing, because the boys were just ready to go on to the next adventure. There was a little too much talking for them!:) Now had it only been the cool tricks and none of the talking, they were have watched the whole thing, but the lag in between tricks was just a little too long for the boys! I'm sure as they get older they won't mind waiting for the next cool trick! They do much better at petting zoos where you don't have to wait in long lines or listen to long explanations...

These were probably some of the friendliest animals we have come
in contact with. It was like they were excited to be on display!!!

A couple of them even slept through Sawyer petting them!

And this little guy even slept through his horn being pulled!:)

I don't know if you can tell by the pictures, but not only were the animals sweet, they were also the best groomed "petting zoo" animals I have ever seen in my life. The area they were in was super clean and the animals themselves were super clean. It was awesome. We weren't planning on even stopping by the petting zoo, but boy were we glad we did. I guess we'll have to try to make it by there each year if the animals are going to be this great!

Hayden's favorite part was sticking his hand inside this
huge bunny cage with his buddy Peyton...

They would get so excited when the bunnies would come up to them!

He just loved it!

And I loved these cute little pot belly pig babies! If only I
had somewhere to keep one we would have most
definitely had a new member of the family!:)
Yes, they were for sale... :)

Right outside the petting zoo is where we took these silly pictures...

I love how crazy these boys are...

And how you can see the whole fair in the background. Super cool!

Oh, and no fair would be complete without at least one fair game...

We thought we were going to turn over a rubber ducky... but Sawyer
thought it was more fun to splash around in the water,
so we moved on to game choice #2...

The goldfish game!!!

Yep, the game I swore I would never let them play again... we played again. They both had a blast, and they both won a goldfish!

Can you tell he was excited?!?

Daddy may or may not have helped them get their ball into the bowl!:)

Either way Sawyer Ooooed and Ahhhed over it!:)

Sawyer also nearly shook the fish to their death... yikes!

There was one little change in the goldfish winning story from last year... can you guess what it was?!? If you guessed we had no problems naming them you were wrong! We didn't have to name them at all. A lucky little boy who was dying to take them home with him got his wish! We let him take them to his house for us and take good care of them. Did that work out great or what?!? Hayden and Sawyer got to have fun playing their game and winning a prize and another little boy got his fair wish of bringing home two new fish! Yes, I made sure it was okay with his Mommy! I told Hayden and Sawyer we would let this little boy have their goldfish prize this time and we would get some more fish another time. They seemed okay with it! I know that probably won't work next year, so I had to take advantage of it while it would work!:) Don't get me wrong, I don't mind having a couple pet fish, I just want the boys to be a teeny bit older so they can help me with them! Maybe next year! And maybe next year Hayden will enjoy this ride...

Not so happy this year!

He did however love the motorcycles with Ellie...

Isn't this just the cutest?!?

And Mommy and Daddy even got to enjoy an adult ride!

Fun times on the swings!

Amidst all of our running, scooting, and jumping around we caught some of these fun pics...

My little cutie pies!:)

Watching someone take their turn down the slide!

Having SO much fun!

Resting his feet for a minute before his next ride!

Sawyer's cool ride stamp! Love that little hand!!!

Happy as can be!

Isn't this little windmill so cool?!?

Lookin' good boys!

You too Hayden!

There's no denying this boy had a good time!

I think he was thinking up his next mischievous action here!!!

It was a super fun day that started like this...

And ended like this...

Surprisingly enough Hayden made it back to the car without falling asleep this time, but Sawyer was out before we even made it to the exit. He never even got to see the sign all lit up...

Not that he would have cared, but we all thought it looked
pretty cool! I'll show him the picture one day!:)

We'll see you next year Cumming Country Fair and Festival! Oh, and we'll be taller...

And walking...

But probably not smiling much bigger than this!:)
